Digital Media Class #5

Again, a lot of information to be shared in this class. I really enjoyed the screencasting. It was very easy and very useful. I can see using this a lot with my kids so that they can refer to directions at home and at school. I also like the podcasts and could see using that with the kids doing a summary on a book that they just read. I am busy working on my WIKI which I am excited about. I am making it for the third grade teachers in the district so we can use it as a place to share resources. The hardest part is going to get others on board, but I made a screencast, so hopefully that will help to start the process.

I really enjoyed the screencasting as well. I think it could be used for training of teachers. It would be a resource that they can refer to on their own time and watch at their own pace. Students could create instructional projects using screencasts, as well. I'll bet students would come up with some ideas we haven't even thought of. In order to get people on board, time and persistence are necessary.

I tried a podcast, so I am curious about screencasting. Most of the comments I have read say they are pretty easy, so I am hoping that I would think so as well.
I will have to try one, and if I don't get it, I am sure you will be more than happy to help me figure it out! :)

See you Thursday?

Agreed, give others control and they genuinely think of things we have not. The screencasts and podcasts and wikis are wonderful tools - keep going!

Your WIKI is great. I like how you made your podcast to explain it to the teachers on your team. All of your hard work is going to be very helpful to future planning for units.
